1) The first podcast I chose was save the Microbes save the world. I chose this particular podcast because the title drew me in. The podcast it about how microbial life affects the world. James Staley a professor at the University of Washington made this particular podcast.
2) Episode 53 weekley anime review "The Meloncholy of Suzumiya Haruhi aka Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu"I chose this one because I wanted to see what other people thought about one of my favorite animes. This podcast is made by Aaron from Ohio "the info on the podcast doesn't have much info on the creator.
I think that podcasts are very useful because you can listens to instead of read. Podcast don't really spark my intrests. I think its because I haven't found any intersting podcasts yet. I would like to see podcasts as being "mainstream" like youtube. I don't think that this will ever happen because seeing a video with audio is not like listening to just audio. For one, audio by itself can get very boring and it doesn't have the same impact as images do. I think that podcasting is a very useful way of communication, but as stated before it isn't as interesting as video clips sent to relatives, collegues or people with the same interests.

Two characteristics of Web 2.0 are collaboration between users and also deep linking. Collaboration between users makes it easier to find information and non info silo also makes it easier to find sources while deep linking makes it easier to organize info and content.
Folksonomies are often called "tags". They are also used generated material that are categorized or orginaized into a group to make searches easier. Tags can be used for sites like facebook or flicker so that everything that you tag a picture with can be searched by searching that specific keyword.
Wikipedia is considered to be web 2.0 because of the definition. The definition states that sites including wikis are considered second generation.
A forum that I visit often "www.hobbyfanatics.com" is considered web 2.0 because it has collaboration between users. An example of this is sharing tips, pictures, and videos.

1. Tag clouds are keywords used to associate your picture with things that are similar. You can add up to 70 tags to a certain picture.
2. Users that use creative commons use it to spread their work. There is no copyright on the pictures so people that see what they like can copy the pictures for their personal use.

Williams, L. (2007). Professional Guide to signs and symptoms. Philadelphia:
Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.
This book is from a university press. "Stanford University"
The are editors but no authors are Sidney D. Drell, Abraham D. Sefaer,
and Feorge D. Wilson. The Editors cite that most of their sources are
from reliable sources "doctors" that are all listed in the back of the book
This book contains a table of contents and it is 4 pages in length.
This book did not contain a bibliography. By looking at the font and info, and
amount of page numbers, I think that this book is geared more towards college
students and scholars. All of the professionals appeared to be related to
the topics covered in the book. The time period that was covered is mostly
during the present. The info in the book is very specific; I could tell by looking
at the content and the titles of the chapters.

The wikis that I've looked at share a lot of things in common. One of the things that they shared was links to web pages, citations, search bars, and a box on the top right hand side that shows info about important dates, organizations, and important people related to the topic. The way that a man named Ward Cunningham came up with a name for a website that host user based info was when he remembered when a guide told him to take the wiki wiki in Honolulu.
